Spam Alert!
Under "Free Security Tools" at the bottom left, you'll find a link to the K9 Anti-Spam filter and instructions on installing and setting it up. We've been using this filter for a while now, and find it to identify spam accurately about 85% of the time when you first install it. Your rate will vary. I don't do much in the way of email with that account. At the moment, it's accuracy fluctuates between 92 - 94 percent. Not bad at all.
UPDATES!: I've found that from time to time, spammer's tactics change significantly enough that some retraining is required to bring K9 back up to the accuracy level it once had.
If you always want to receive mail from certain people, or which meets certain other criteria, then have a look at our video that shows how to use K9's whitelist feature. The video needs its sound reworked because when the scene switches to the screen, it gets too quiet. I think the best viewing option would be the download, even though it's a large file because the video requires 640x480 to be readable.

Have you tried Web E-Mail with Calendar yet? I have only had a chance to look at it. I haven't done much else with it. You use the same Email address and password to access either one, and you can switch between either one without losing any messages. The first time you access Web E-Mail with Calendar, it will create several new mail folders you didn't see before when using Squirrel Mail. Those folders will still exist if you happen to log in using Squirrel Mail, but I don't currently recommend opening those new folders in Squirrel Mail.
For those using our accelerated service, there is a new SlipStream Web Accelerator program, version 5, available. We hope to have version 5.1 available soon. Version 5.1 will be compatible with Internet Explorer 7 and FireFox 2. Please note that Internet Explorer 7 and SlipStream 5.0 are not compatible and will cause an error. The previous version may work OK with it, though.
In the left-hand column you'll find three new tools: Test Your Modem, Internet Connection Test Script, and WinsockXPFix. I wrote the Internet Connection Test Script to give you a way to check whether your connection is working as it should. It works with any kind of internet connection, but in the case of dial-up connections, the connection must first be established. If you cannot establish a dial-up connection, the Test Your Modem link takes you where you can get a test tool. Finally, the WinsockXPFix program will reset some of the key settings Windows uses to enable World Wide Web and E-Mail usage. We are putting together a page to help you use these tools effectively.
We have added a Games page. Take a look here.

Refer a friend and get $5 off next month's bill when they sign up! If you refer two friends who sign up, you'll get $10 off. If you should happen to refer four who sign up, next month is free and you'll get the month after that for $9.95.
Current AOL Users can now keep their AOL E-Mail address and get $5 off their first month's Internet Access bill. So why pay $23 when you can pay $14.95/month?
Why would I use DAConsultNet? (or, What do I tell my friends?)
I know I'm impressed with the service, but why would my friends want to join?
- Basic packages start at $14.95 per month, why pay more?
- Free Web/Email accelerator software
- Free downloadable security tools
- Others may provide 24x7 phone support (ours is currently a bit more limited), but can/will they send a technician to fix problems with your service?
- We understand networking. I've spoken to ISP techs who were totally blown away by the fact that one of their clients had a router. They kept telling us to do things that only applied if we were connecting to the Internet with a modem.
